Hendrik (Henry) F. Boekeloo (#14), his wife Anje J. Slager and their children Aaffien (#25), Tjaaktje a.k.a. Kate(#26), Jacob (#27), Derk (#29), Ate (#30), and Henderikus a.k.a. Henry (#31) emigrated from Middelstum, The Netherlands to the USA in the year 1854.
Their oldest daughter Neeltje (#24) never came to the USA. She married the painter Jannes Harms Faber at February 12, 1846 and lived with husband and children in Usquert, The Netherlands. She died in Zandeweer, The Netherlands at January 19, 1897.
Daughter Aaffien H. Boekelo (#25) married the tailor Eisse Heertjes Toonder at May 13, 1844 in Middelstum and lived with husband and children in Usquert and Stitswerd, The Netherlands. With their four children (Anje, Heertje, Hindrik and Trijntje) they emigrated to North-America (probably Kalamazoo-MI) in 1854.
Daughter Tjaaktje H. Boekelo (#26) emigrated with her parents to Kalamazoo in 1854. There her name changed in Kate Boekeloo. She married at the age of 45 in Kalamazoo on May 12, 1872 the 56 years old labourer Marinus Coole (Koole, Cole). He died March 11, 1885. Kate Boekeloo died on Monday March 7, 1904.
Son Jacob H. Boekeloo (#27) and his wife Stijntje T. Havinga came with his parents to Kalamazoo-MI in 1854.
Daughter Henderika (#28) never came to the USA. She died at August 2, 1833 and was nearly 3 years old at that time.
Son Derk H. Boekeloo(#29) came also with his parents to Kalamazoo-MI in 1854. There he married his wife Mary D. Howard.
Son Ate H. Boekeloo (#30), born on March 18, 1836 travelled with his parents to the USA in 1854. He probably died at sea and never saw the New World. After his death the boys' name "Otto" appeared in the families of his brothers, which is the English equivalent for "Ate".
Son Henderikus H. Boekeloo (#31) came also with his parents to Kalamazoo-MI in 1854. There his name changed in Henry H. Boekeloo. In Kalamazoo he married his wife Cornelia P. Naber.

Fenna Boekelo (#112), born at May 7, 1860 in Middelstum, The Netherlands, was the daughter of Ate Jacobs Boekeloo and Elisabeth E. Dam. She was 21 years old when she married Hindrik Jonker from Stedum, The Netherlands. She was a maid and he was a farmerlabourer.
Shortly after their wedding in 1882 they emigrated to Ferrysburg, Michigan. Their names changed in Fannie Boekeloo and Henry Yonker. Later they lived in Kalamazoo, Michigan at 928 James Street.
They got five children: Eliezabeth (1885), Wilhelmina "Minnie" (1888), Ate "Otto" (1890), Klaas "Charles" (1892, Yfke "Effie" (1897) and Antje "Anna" (1901). Fannie deceased in 1927. Her husband probably died in 1932.

Fannie's grandparents Boekeloo were Jacob Freerks Boekelo and Fenna Hendriks Scharphorn, the ancestors of all Boekelo's from in the southeast part of the Province of Groningen, The Netherlands and the nearby area in Germany. The names of most German Boekelo's changed in Bukelo, Buckelo or Bockelo. Fannie's grandfather Jacob Freerks Boekelo was a brother of Hendrik Freerks Boekeloo, who emigrated to the USA in 1854.

Klaas and Zwaantje came to Kalamazoo, Michigan in the first part of the 20st century. In Kalamazoo lived at that time already many Boekeloos (since 1854), all descendants of the above mentioned Hendrik Freerks Boekeloo (#14) and Anje Jacobs Slager from Middelstum, the Netherlands.
Klaas Boekeloo however was a great-grandson of Hendrik's younger brother Eisse Freerks Boekelo (#15) from Rottum, in the province of Groningen, The Netherlands. Klaas Boekeloo emigrated from Bedum, The Netherlands to Kalamazoo, Michigan on May 26, 1914, only a few days after his parents 25th anniversary.
When Klaas came to Kalamazoo he met his uncles Gerrit Laning and Cornelis Laning, both brothers from his mother Grietje Boekeloo nee Laning . Not much later Zwaantje van Dijk came to Kalamazoo also. Klaas and Zwaantje married in Kalamazoo and they got four children: Martin Boekeloo (#279), Ann Dykehouse nee Boekeloo (#280), Grace Mejeur nee Boekeloo (#281) and Garrett Boekeloo (#282)
