In this photo album you 'll find photos from Henry Hendriks Boekeloo (1838-1906) and his wife Cornelia P. Naber (1837-1909) and from their descendants. In 1854 Henry - his orginal Dutch name was Henderikus - immigrated with most members of his parental family into the USA and settled in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

Jacob Boekeloo (#80)
Jacob Boekeloo (1873-1944) from Kalamazoo-MI was the sixth son of Henry H. Boekeloo and Cornelia P. Naber (nr. 31). He married his first wife Lulu M. Opliger (Apleger)in Kalamazoo-MI at August 5, 1893. He married his second wife when he was 28 years of age; her name was Justina G. 'Tina' Braun (1875-1946). At that time Jacob Boekeloo was a portrait-painter. About Jacob has been said that he invented the card-playings Flinch and Fouring.
