This last known photo from Marten has been made in 1935 , in front of his little (now demolished) house in the Kerklaan in Bedum. At the door of his house Marten Boekelo had a little nameboard in blue-white enamel, with the familyname BOEKELOO. Klaas Boekeloo sent it to his parents from Kalamazoo. Marten died in 1935.
